The recent AnyLogic workshop in Kawasaki demonstrated the continued growth and importance of simulation modeling throughout multiple industries in Japan. Companies using AnyLogic simulation software and in attendance included:
Deloitte Tohmatsu, Fuji Xerox, Hitachi Transport Systems, Honda, JFE Steel, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, NI Drive, Nippon Shooter, Nomura Research Institute Consulting, Panasonic, PwC, SCSK, Sharp, Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology, Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Tokyo Metropolitan University, and Toshiba.
At the event, organized with TechSupport Management Inc., attendees received practical training on how to build the right models for their needs. By using the AnyLogic multimethod simulation modeling approach, the simulation practitioners learned how to get the best from agent based, discrete event, and systems dynamics modeling. Over the two days of the workshop, the sessions focused on Material Handling, Pedestrian simulation, and the use of GIS in modeling.
