How to be GIGA: Modeling huge, complex systems with AnyLogic

You can drag. You can drop. You followed the tutorials and got a model working. Awesome. Most modelers (even experienced ones) try to scale the basic techniques they see in tutorials and trainings until they have a nightmare spaghetti model that even the best LLM will run away from screaming (i.e., hallucinate a friendly tip leading nowhere).

But how do large car corporations model entire factories with AnyLogic? How do aircraft engine manufacturers mimic their fleet of engines live, down to the last screw? How can semiconductor manufacturers reschedule their production in seconds?

In this workshop, Ben will unpack his 15 years of experience with large corporate client models. As always, he will structure it for any skill level so that beginners as well as seasoned geeks will learn something useful.

We check on architectural decisions, exploit Java, and make use of hidden AnyLogic features. We learn how to approach complex systems, why we (often) cannot simplify them, and how to manage that by following good processes. And we explore how even the most complex system is no foe to the sharp blade of AnyLogic (with a bit of human inventiveness).
