- Sachel Lakhavani of New Product Development – Digital & Analytics at Pricewaterhouse Coopers will present the Strategy Navigator platform, an agent-based consumer behavior model that simulates the response of consumers to changing market environment and the impact of these interactions on the overall performance of a business.
- Ben Schumann, PhD Modeling Consultant at decisionLab Ltd. will apply real-world examples from research and commercial work, including maritime search-and-rescue efforts in the English Channel, harbor intelligence improvements at the Port of Rotterdam and policing operations in Kent (UK) to explore GIS capabilities in AnyLogic 7. Dr. Schumann will review how to access the details of shapefiles within AnyLogic so that each point and path can be used by your agents, enabling trucks to drive on roads, aircraft to fly along a flight route and animals to wander to food sources.
- Yu Wang Manager of Operations Research - Simulation and Jeremiah Dirnberger, Manager of Network Modeling at CSX Transportation will present the model used to identify the maximum possible throughput and best operational and capital strategy to handle increased business. In addition, utilizing the new rail library in AnyLogic 7, Wang and Dirnberger will showcase a model used to determine the most effective design from eight different alternatives for rebuilding a locomotive shop.
