AnyLogic software training in Oakbrook Terrace

AnyLogic training

AnyLogic hosted its first training of 2019 last week at the AnyLogic North America office in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Over 20 people attended from companies including Uber, Fannie Mae, St. Onge Company, Astellas, DHL and more.

During the three-day course, attendees were led through several hands-on exercises building models utilizing all three methods of modeling techniques, including agent-based, discrete event and system dynamics. Participants were introduced to multi-method modeling and simulation, both in theory and by demonstration, and became familiar with AnyLogic software model development.

Attendees learned how to model a supply chain network GIS model, learned the basics of JAVA, and learned to model bass diffusion using system dynamics. They also were introduced to the Material Handling Library and built a model of a solar panel production line. One of the most beneficial aspects of the training was the one-on-one time with the instructor. Attendees had the opportunity to demonstrate models they were working on and receive assistance and feedback.

At the end of day two, the group enjoyed a reception at Pinstripes. Attendees had a great time networking and playing bocce ball with their peers and the AnyLogic team.
