AnyLogic Cloud 2.4.1 – improved user experience, performance, and security

Gregory Monakhov is an AnyLogic Cloud and AnyLogic 9 product owner. He previously worked in tech support for 7 years, so he is uniquely placed to ensure that customers' needs are continuously being met.

AnyLogic Cloud presents version 2.4.1 with enhancements for your modeling experience. This update introduces a powerful diagnostics tool, scatter plot functionality, and Java 17 support, ensuring a smoother workflow. Let's explore what's new in this release.

Diagnostic tool introduction

In the latest update of AnyLogic Cloud, there is a significant focus on the Private Cloud feature: the diagnostics tool.

It serves as a convenient option, particularly for Private Cloud administrators, to effortlessly collect information about the installation and service logs. The tool eases the troubleshooting process. Now, in case of an issue, the support team can efficiently communicate with you and come up with resolutions based on the diagnostic tool analysis.

The diagnostics tool is a time-saving asset, as it collects commonly reported logs and information into a single, accessible interface. You no longer need to navigate through various menus or documents to find relevant data; just rely on this tool's one-click functionality to get the necessary insights.

Scatter plot improvements

In this release, our team also worked hard on updating the scatter plot feature. Now, you can visualize the relationship between a single input and multiple outputs. For instance, in a manufacturing model, you can assess how changing the number of workers affects production time and cost.

This functionality is commonly applied in sensitivity analysis, where minor adjustments in one aspect of the model are closely examined for their impact on other variables.

AnyLogic Cloud and Java 17

The Cloud platform delivers advanced simulation technology, prioritizing security to address real-world challenges effectively. The adoption of Java 17 by AnyLogic Cloud marks a notable upgrade. With Java 17's performance optimizations and security features, simulations run faster, and data remains securely protected. Therefore, your intellectual property is safely stored.

Drawing attention to our recent releases, we'd like to remind you about the update we rolled out at the end of 2023. If you missed AnyLogic 8.8.6, check it out below.

AnyLogic 8.8.6 release

In late 2023, AnyLogic released version 8.8.6, featuring easier-to-use custom distribution elements and a new Reinforcement Learning experiment.

The custom distribution element interface was rebuilt for better usability, offering two types of distributions: discrete and continuous. The new continuous distribution also supports returning integer values.

Also, version 8.8.6 introduced a new Reinforcement Learning experiment, giving you the capability to export models for use with the ALPyne library. This experiment enables data exchange between external scripts, neural networks, and AnyLogic models, available in all AnyLogic versions.

Moving forward

AnyLogic Cloud 2.4.1 brings great improvements to streamline modeling processes. The new diagnostics tool simplifies troubleshooting, and scatter plot enhancements offer clearer insights. The updates reflect AnyLogic's ongoing commitment to providing you with a robust and efficient simulation environment.
