AnyLogic Cloud 2.5.0: a big leap forward

Gregory Monakhov is an AnyLogic Cloud and AnyLogic 9 product owner. He previously worked in tech support for 7 years, so he is uniquely placed to ensure that customers' needs are continuously being met.

We're excited to announce the AnyLogic Cloud 2.5.0 release, which brings significant improvements, including the new Completed Runs view and Single Sign-On (SSO) support. This update is already live for AnyLogic Cloud SaaS, so feel free to open your models or public models to explore the new features. If you're using Private Cloud, make sure to check the administrator guide for details on setting up SSO and planning the upgrade.

Join our upcoming webinar to learn more about use cases for the Completed Runs view and Single Sign-on.

Completed runs view

The Completed Runs view is a major enhancement, allowing you to track and analyze the results of all model runs in a convenient table format. Whether you're running experiments via the web interface or the Cloud API, this new view provides insights into inputs, outputs, and results. Let’s dive into details with the Distribution Center example model.

When you access the model’s experiment sidebar, you'll now see the new Completed Runs tab; it displays all runs for the selected model version.

Every time you execute an experiment, the new run is listed in the Completed Runs table. If a multi-run experiment or parameter variation is executed, all relevant runs will appear in the table as well (like running several simulations in a row).

Key table features include the ability to:

  1. Sort and filter data for better organization.
  2. Expand runs results to check in details output charts and plots.
  3. Expand specific chart or plot data.
  4. Download an Excel file with run results for offline analysis.

If you are the model developer, you can also configure the order and visibility of table columns or reset them to default.

We believe this feature will significantly improve how you manage scenario results, debug complex models, and investigate unexpected outcomes.

Single sign-on (SSO)

In addition to the Completed Runs view, we’re introducing Single Sign-On (SSO) for Private Cloud Pro and Enterprise. By integrating your Private Cloud instance with an identity provider service, account management becomes seamless, handled entirely by your identity provider. Private Cloud automatically pulls data from the provider to authenticate a user or deny access depending on the user’s account status with the provider.

The SSO implementation supports OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols and has been tested with providers like Microsoft Entra ID, Ping One, OKTA, and Google. You can find configuration templates for these providers in our public documentation.

Minor improvements and database migration

This release also includes several smaller improvements, detailed in the release notes. Notably, we’ve migrated from Cassandra to PostgreSQL to support the Completed Runs feature, a process that was both challenging and rewarding.

Our team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition, with everyone—from R&D and design to our technical writers and support team—contributing their expertise.
