Webinar: Exploring the Utility of ChatGPT as a Java Scripting Aid for AnyLogic Modeling

Date: April 13, 3 – 4 pm UTC (convert to your local time)

Attendance: free

Language: English

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI, which uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) techniques to generate human-like responses to user queries. It is based on the GPT architecture, which stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer" and was trained on vast amounts of text data from the internet. The technology behind ChatGPT enables it to understand natural language and provide responses that are relevant and helpful to users. It has a wide range of use cases, including chatbots for customer service, language translation, content generation, and personal assistants.

In this webinar, we will explore the use of ChatGPT as an assistant to aid in writing, refactoring, or explaining Java code within the AnyLogic development environment. It is important to note that the purpose of this webinar is not to delve into the creation of model logic from user prompts. Additionally, it is not intended to serve as a tutorial or guidance for effective use of generative language models, but rather an open-ended exploration of some of the possibilities.

During the webinar, we will investigate various use cases of ChatGPT as an assistant in the model development process, including, but not limited to:

  • customizing behaviors in callback fields and other model building block properties with Java snippets
  • refactoring existing code for readability and conciseness
  • aiding in learning Java concepts
  • explaining existing code while reviewing example models

At the end of the webinar, we will also provide a live Q&A session.
