First Combined AnyLogic Training in Chicago Conducted

AnyLogic North America conducted its first training program in their new Midwest facility last week July 15th – July 19th with great success. Over 30 students participated in the back-to-back Fundamentals Training / In-Depth training program. The diversity of the students ranged from educators, manufactures, and consultants. Some were already AnyLogic customers however there were a great deal of potential customers who participated in the class to get a solid understanding of how AnyLogic can solve their business problems and complete their evaluation process. With 3 instructors, the class enjoyed the diversity of questions as well as the range of business challenges. We even had our first High School educator who will be using AnyLogic in his Advanced Math course! In addition to the class, we were honored by Jean-Patrick Tsang, PhD of Bayser Analysis and Chad Dau, Associate Director of Marketing Analytics at Astellas Phama who were gracious enough to present the model they created for Astellas with AnyLogic using Agent-Based modeling for New Product Launch.

Workshop by Dr. Andrei Borshchev in Saint-Etienne, France (19.06.13)

Dr. Andrei Borshchev, the CEO of The AnyLogic Company, will host a workshop called “Multimethod Modeling and Simulation with AnyLogic” at the Henri Fayol Institute of École des Mines in Saint-Etienne, France on June 19, 2013. In this workshop, Dr. Andrei Borshchev will offer an overview of the most used multimethod (or multi-paradigm) model structures, discuss the technical aspects of linking different methods within one model, and show examples of multimethod models. He will, of course, be using AnyLogic technology during his presentation.

AnyLogic In-Depth Training in Paris

AnyLogic In-Depth Training in Paris

The European In-Depth Training took place in Paris on May 13-15, 2013. Five students from different countries took part in it, representing the following organizations: Consolidated Contractors Company (Greece), University of Bielefeld (Germany), The University of Nottingham (UK), Savonia University (Finland), University of Pardubize (Czech Republic). Due to the small class size, the atmosphere during the training was friendly and students were able to get to know each other and us better. It is of upmost importance for us to take the time to answer all of the students’ questions. So, as usual, in addition to completing the training program, we did our best to provide them with expertise on their own simulation projects.

Full Screencast Available: Healthcare Dynamic Modeling Workshop & Training

We have a new video available on our website. It is complete screencast of Healthcare Dynamic Modeling Workshop & Training that took place in Sydney this February. The instructors were Nathaniel Osgood (University of Saskatchewan), Geoff McDonnell (University of New South Wales, Australia), and Andrei Borshchev (CEO at the AnyLogic Company).

Complete Workshop Video Available: “Introduction into Simulation Modeling for Business Applications”

The “Introduction into Simulation Modeling for Business Applications” workshop video is now available on our website. Dr. Andrei Borshchev, CEO of The AnyLogic Company, was the presenter. This workshop program introduces the audience to different simulation modeling approaches and shows examples of their use. It also illustrates the various features of AnyLogic 6 and reviews several real-life problems from different industries that were solved with the help of simulation modeling. The program is specifically designed for those who are new to simulation modeling to explain and demonstrate why simulation modeling is important and what kind of problems it helps to solve.

AnyLogic training sessions: facts, figures and faces

How to learn multi-paradigm modeling? “In AnyLogic training classes!” is an answer from 200 simulation practitioners who chose our courses in the year 2012. For the past months AnyLogic team delivered trainings to twelve cities in USA, France, Japan, Germany, South Africa, Russia, India and China. We are most proud of our students. The 2012 AnyLogic classes brought together researchers, consultants, academics from 48 organizations. PWC Consulting, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, The United States Military Academy, Toyota, Keio University, BHP Billiton, GE, IBM to name a few. That’s how they replied to the question why to attend AnyLogic training course:

Agent based modeling course at MIT

Nathaniel Osgood — an Associate Professor of University of Saskatchewan used AnyLogic to develop an MIT graduate-level course on agent-based modeling for health policy. Anyone involved in healthcare simulation will appreciate and value the variety of materials (screencast, video and audio): lectures, Java for AnyLogic tutorials and assignments.
